

"Retec Interface were engaged by Mothercare to develop a Guided Selling Solution in store aimed at increasing sales in the Pushchair, Nursery, and Car Seat department. Building on top of the successful Guided Selling product suite, we developed an interface that takes into account the needs of the shopper in a Mothercare environment, the retail brand, and the processes involved in extended range ordering. The initial trial included a mixture of store concepts including single and multiple kiosks, large and small format digital signage, and relevant point of sale material. The trial has proved a hit with customers giving both Retec and Mothercare a base to build on for future developments.

Ultimately this solution is designed to aid the shopper in their decision process, purchasing items for your loved ones is not only a financial decision but an emotional decision, using the kiosk has helped to reduce the risk gap and give confidence to their purchasing decisions. Customer service being key to Mothercare, the kiosk is also an aid to instore staff who often use it to guide customers through complex choices themselves."
